These items are commonly purchased and barely used:

Wipe warmer: Babies adjust. Waste of counter space.
Diaper bag backpack with 47 pockets: You'll use 3 of them. A regular backpack works.
Separate bottle sterilizer: A pot of boiling water or the dishwasher works identically.
Infant shoes: They don't walk. They lose them. Skip until walking.
Dedicated burp cloths (more than 10): You don't need 40. You need 8–10. Old cloth diapers work perfectly.
